Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups maida


  • 1 cups sugar powder


  • 1 cups curd


  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder


  • 1/2 tsp baking soda


  • 3/4 cups water


  • 1 tsp coffee mix


  • 1/4 cups oil


  • 1 tsp vanilla essence


  • 1 tbsp lemon juice


  • 4 tbsp curd


  • 2 tbsp water


  • 6 tbsp cocoa powder


  • 1 1/2 cups whipped cream


  • 1 cups chocolate curls


  • 1/2 cups cherries,cut into half


  • 5 tbsp for sugar syrup:sugar


  • 1/2 cups water


  • 1/2 tsp salt

Directions

  • Sieve maida, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt and keep aside.
  • preheat the oven at 200degree for,10minutes.Meanwhile grease the pan with oil and line with butter paper.
  • Mix coffee powder in warm water in a bowl.mix sugar and oil and keep aside.Whisk curd and water till it turns smooth.Add one tbs leomon juice and baking soda and stir.Then add vanilla essence and mix well.
  • Mix all the wet ingredients together in another bowl.
  • slowly add maida portions at a time and blend with wet ingredients
  • Mix well with a whisk until creamy and pour the batter tothe baking tin and keep it ready.
  • Bake in preheated oven at 200 degree for 10 minutes,then reduce the temperature to 180 degree and bake for 45 to 50 minutes.
  • Allow the cake to cool down.Then invert it and remove the butter paper.
  • Cut the cake from middle and moisturize using sugar syrup
  • Spread an even layer of whipped cream icing ,top it with dark chocolate curls and cherries.
  • Again top it with whipped cream and make a smooth topping.
  • Place the other half of cake on it and start covering the sides and top of the cake with the remaining icing.
  • Moisturise the top with sugar syrup
  • cover the sides and top with whipped cream
  • decorate with chocolate curls ,whipped cream,nozzle patterns and cherries.
  • Now the yummy black forest cake is ready to serve.
